Front loader. Washes clothes better. Uses less of the world's resource than manufacturing a huge top loader.

Enables both washer and dryer to fit under a worktop so that you have a surface to fold and pile the clothes on.

But don't buy a Dawoo great for washing and spinning, 7kg loads but takes bloody ages to do the wash!

Why don't manufacturers list in the promo material the wash times? They give you all these programs which you don't use but the one most basic, a seperate spin the Dawoo does not have. Rinse & spin but not spin. So if I hand wash an item (on that very rare occasion) and I want to spin it I can't it is such a pain.

sorry if this is a dumb question....

if you are 5 in the family, does that mean you have to get a big front loader...the ones that handle more Kilos?

thanks

no but most washing machines over here do seem to be bigger than in the uk

Front loader, economical and great with water usage. Don't get the clothes all tangled together and not fighting with the clothes to get them detangled and on to the washing line.

Well I guess it depends on how ofter you do the washing. If you are one of those people that do it everyday no matter how small the load is then a small one will do. If you're like me on the other hand - prefer to do it at the weekend and get as much in as possible to save water and electricity - then the more kilo's it will hold the better. :)

thanks for the advice wendy and hitchcock, yes we are the type to save up all the laundry for the weekends...
