I was just wondering if there were any obviously dogdy bittorrent websites. I have seen a few but I don't know if they are safe such as pirate bay and mybittorent.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can get virus-infested rubbish from any and all torrent sites - there are no guarantees. Of course, some are worse than others, but you'll find just as many trojans embedded in keygens downloaded from piratebay as you will from supanova.

Keep away! ... like I do! ...

Only the other night I downloaded a load of games for my phone. I scanned the file and all good, but as I unzipped em my AV software went off on one!

Spent the following hour or so in safe mode and finally got rid of it. Then had to check all other PC's on our network as these things will spread like wild fire given the chance!

Gamble you take I guess.
