Think going barefoot is wrong?

Re: Think going barefoot is wrong?
As a kid growing up in Aus I can't really remember wearing shoes when we played out locally
The thing that got me was my mum had my passport picture done at the local shopping centre and I'm in my pyjamas aged 8 But that is something else....

I love to go barefoot and so do my kids. If not for all the broken glass left on the parks and sidewalks we would do it more often. I don't know why people have to chuck bottles when it's just as easy to drop them in the bin.

Yeah that and the dubious wet patches when it hasn't rained for weeks!

Going back to the Original Post....
I nag the kids when we go into furniture stores or David Jones to put their shoes on... and Hospital and Drs visits... but on the whole I have gotten over it...
I couldn't go bare foot outside the front door yet... and I don't wear my PJs to walk down the street either... yet..... sure it is only a matter of time before I do both..

Another day, another opinion, eh?
My osteopath would strongly disagree with the article. I know myself, having arrived in Singapore - land of marble floors - six years ago and thinking it was good for me to go barefoot. I soon learned otherwise. It's amazing how many people, within a couple of months of arriving, complain of aching feet and backs.
I now have orthotics in my trainers and, now I'm wearing closed in shoes 'cos I'm cold, I will probably wear them in those too.
I'd never go barefoot outside; I'm a bit of a clean freak.
(Said osteopath also thinks those MBTs are rubbish.)

I am not bothered by what people wear or don't on their feet
but my mate is a community nurse in Oz and says she is fed up of dealing with nasty crusty feet with deep gashes, crushed toes etc from people walking without footwear, she says if they want to stop wearing footwear they shouldn't live in towns
