If it was me I'd take the job. You have no idea how long you could be waiting and if it's a job that will look good on the resume then so much the better. If later asked why you were there for such a short time you simply explain that it was offered and as you 'could' have been in the country a year or so longer, it would have been silly to have turned it down, especially if it's giving you greater experience in your field.

Do you really think it will be an age for a visa? I cant believe after medicals it could take a year or 6 months at least ? The thought of not having a visa by June at least is making me ill.

The thing is, no one knows so you have to continue your lives as though the application isn't happening, you can't put your current life on hold. There's also that horrible fact that you could be refused the visa, It's a horrible feeling but it's the only way to stay sane - I found anyway.
How many people who submit genuine information with clear police/medical checks, funds, state sponsorship & british are refused. On what grounds could you be refused? |

Just get your action plan ready for when it happens and, up until that time, we just need to continue as normally possible, keep earning that money to put away  If we all think of the worse case scenario and dont count our chickens, then anything better is a bonus! |

Re: Things seem to be moving quickly now!
[QUOTE=moneypenny20;9155955]On the above grounds probably not many but some will simply even if by mistake. :D However please don't tell me that you are 100% convinced that you will be granted your visa, I won't believe you :D I was a 'dead cert' for a 100 Spouse Visa having been with my Aussie born husband for about 25 years, 13 of those married and with two children and with no health problems. For a few days I was still convinced they'd refuse me simply because they can ;) When you're future life is in the hands of random strangers, you 'have' to get on with normal life or you'd go mad imo.:lol:[/QUOTE
l We would be devastated (understatement of the century) if we were refused, it is not an option, so I dont even think about refusal. Plus I would be divorced after taking gamble of selling our house! |
