Thanks BE!

PR granted today, 6 years after we started this journey!

I just want to say a big thanks to BE - been on & off this site for more than 3 years now and I've founded it really helpful & interesting. I'll still be back - I do a search for Coffs periodically to see if anyone wants any info, & also weigh in on / start the odd discussion / arguement now & then :p

Good luck to anyone who is still waiting & happy new year to all :)

Can I ask how long it took you between application after the 475/457 and PR grant?

It's 475 regional sponsored to 887 regional permanent (I think is called) and we applied 30th Nov, granted today. Would have been within 4 weeks had it not been for our case officer going on hols 23rd Dec until today (how dare they vacation! lol)

Do you have to live regionally on the 887? Sheeeit!!! We are waiting to apply to move from a 475 to PR and I will be mighty pissed off if we have to live regionally still - is that in the same state?

http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...visa-works.htm quick check, No obligations to stay in any specific area or anything, seems it is a proper unrestricted permanent resident visa.

Sorry to confuse! I was just trying to think of the right name for it. It's a proper PR yeah - we are freeeeeee at last! Good luck with your app, hope it's fast & smooth :)

It is confusing because it has "regional" in its name, but in reality it's not. Regional nor confusing. Yep.
