Default Terry took Death’s arm ...... RIP Sir Pratchett

Author Terry Pratchett has died at the age of 66 · TheJournal.ie

Terry took Death’s arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night.

AUTHOR TERRY PRATCHETT, who was renowned for his fantasy novels, has died at the age of 66.
His death was confirmed by his publishers, who described him as “one of the brightest, sharpest minds” in the world.
The writer died at his home surrounded by his family earlier today. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease eight years ago.

========================================
Loved his books, especially the stories of the witch, Granny Weatherwax, and Mort, whowas a boy chosen as an apprentice for Death, who was tired of wielding his scythe himself!

Rest in Peace Terry, and thanks so much for your books

Very sad, too young but too ghastly a disease! Ironically I was at a funeral when he died and one of his works was being quoted! Our neighbour was an even younger fantasy buff who had died on the same day as Mr Spock.

So very sad this morning.

Even though we knew that the day was drawing near, you still hope for just one more venture into an amazing mind.

Goodbye Sir Terry, you helped stimulate the imagination of all the Dreamy clan and for that, I thank you.

Although I have never read any of his work, I have watched the dramatised version of "Going Postal'. Even though it may have been changed slightly with dramatic licence, it still showed the brilliance of his original imagination. RIP
