A kilogram of chips eh? They should sell well in Essex.

I use oven chips.

I do have one of these though:

The toastie maker should get more use for using up leftovers.

The popcorn maker can be used to roast coffee beans.

The rice maker can be used for sous vide cooking - really good steaks, just shift them across to the george foreman grill for a quick browning for a minute at the end.

amazon.co.uk will not deliver here but amazon.de usually will:
http://www.amazon.de/Tefal-FZ-7002-H...3329675&sr=8-1

$188 plus delivery and they deduct the German 19% VAT

If you use the google chrome browser it will translate it for you too.

Edit:
Just checked and it's $210 delivered to Australia.

A good question - especially as most of the stuff that gets shipped by Amazon from Europe comes from their German hub.

Interestingly, Amazon will not ship a Logitech Squeezebox Internet Radio from Europe or the US to Australia - I've had to get it off eBay instead.
