That's lovely. These people are obviously very good at their jobs if they can have such an impact It's good to know that our kids are in such good hands.

Thanks Ginny. Not feeling so strong today. I've got a night out tomorrow with some of the Mums from nursery so I reckon there'll be a few tears. Roll on August.

god - it finished me off! I think its coz we untrust our children to them we get to feel very close even though we dont actually KNOW them as friends.

how many more weeks of blubbing to go HC??
You've totally hit the nail on the head there. We trust these people with our babies and that's a biggy. The nursery handed out the kids progress folders yesterday but also a CD rom with photos and bios of all the kids and teachers. It's going to be such a lovely thing to look back on.

4 weeks of blubbing left. Watch out for news of flooding in Central Scotland on the TV

It was fantastic and I just looked at him and all his friends and suddenly got very worried about him making new friends, being bullied etc etc. He is at a great school and I started to question our decision to go for the first time ever.

I had a massive lump in my throat and tears in my eyes!
It's horrible isn't it? That lump in your throat is a nightmare. And the worst is, no one (except on here) understands how many emotions are running through your head.

Should have moved to Aus before kids

Oh Issie, it's just so sad. I knew it was going to be hard but I had convinced myself it would be the same for everyone at the school as all the kids were leaving. But, they were all saying, have a good summer, see you at school in 6 weeks to each other, and then when they came to us it was "have a good life, look after each other".

I'm going to be a complete wreck if I don't pull myself together.

Is it wrong to drink gin at 8.45 am??

I have another 6 months to go and all of a sudden i look around at my life and like it....thats the hard bit i suppose i have a good life here why would i be so insane and put myself through the ' emotional rollercoaster' of emigrating and then i calm myself down and think YES !!!! i want this with all my heart to live ad work abroad has been in me for years. The experience my children will have will be amazing and we are together as a family ...thats all that matters to me

Hubby got offered his own branch yesterday......has lots of perks including company car ....typical he has waited years for this and 6 months before we go they offer him this.

Yes it is too early to drink Gin.........give yourself another hour

That's exactly my thoughts. I look at everything with different eyes these days, and when it gets too much and I think I might miss it too much, I just remember we'll be happy so long as we're together

Hallo Gill,

Sad to hear there's a lotta tears being shed there just now. It just shows you how people care and how you'll be missed.
But, there's a new life ahead of you now pal and although it'll take time, you'll soon be in a new house and new surroundings with new friends and new, amazing things to fill your days with.
Home will always be just a flight away but get your ar*e over here soon because Spring is ALMOST on it's way....sort of. Ahem.
BTW, I have no idea what Weirdstone was saying to me over lunch yesterday. I just nodded a lot. Maybe you can join us when you arrive and we can all nod, smile and drink - a lot, together!!

Chin up,don't be worried and look ahead.
See you soon!

So there wont be any nodding and smiling between us - just drinking.

You got a job lined up yet??
P.S If your looking on realestate.com.au and you don't want to live as far out as Berwick ( oh, you don't wanna go there!!! ) try lookin at Moorabin,Bentleigh,Bentleigh East,Hampton East,Carnegie,Fairfield for suburbs a bit closer to the city than Berwick, but all still only a half hour drive away!

Hi H, I've just dropped my youngest off at nursery for the last time (she is 3). We have hired a bouncy castle and I took in a cake and sweets for the kids. When we got to the pre school room a couple of her carers that looked after her when she was younger came out to say bye. I wasn't prepared and the lump came from nowhere. I struggled to give them the thank you card and choccies. I think I'll need a drink when I get home after picking her up later. I'm dreading it.

I'm glad that my other 2 are just finishing school when they break up for the summer hols. I really don't think I could cope with good byes there. The eldest is 10 and has been there since nursery. I also think that it might be a little easier on them as it will (hopefully) feel just like a normal end of year. Well thats the plan anyway

Jules

lol, I totally forgot you're "one of us" Pearly. Excellent. The Scots certainly seem to be taking over Melbourne right now dont they?

Thanks for those tips, will get ourselves onto realestate tonight and check them out
