Take a trip down memory lane..

What do you remember from your childhood that gives you an overwhelming sensation of nostalgic bliss?

I remember "Denim" - the aftershave and "You and Me" with "Crow" and "Hamster" and "Pipkins" with "Hartley Hare"...too name but a few.....

Nivea lotion always reminds me of childhood holidays. It was our sunscreen in those days and however much I use it now, I still get flashbacks to sitting on the beach on the Isle of Wight

I've also got an old cut crystal glass that belonged to my grandmother. When I visited her, I was always allowed my Ribena in this glass. I still only use it for Ribena and as soon as I use it, I'm back in her kitchen just for a split second.

The minature cadbury's bars always remind me of being a kid.
I always wanted one of those red dispensers that you had to put in a penny for a bar. I never got one as a child and always felt hard done by.
Just before we came over my friend bought me one - I was made up :)

LOL! I bet you can!
I was a bit more sedate seeing as I was 37 when I first got one ;)
Mind you after putting in the first penny, I didn't bother after that and just opened the back and got them all out :)

We didn't have much money when i was a kid so i always envied the lad next door.He used to wear Kickers and Pod shoes, hop on fancy Space Hoppers and ride fantastic BMX bikes. I used to curse his luck, always wanted to swap places with him. Where is he now?
He's dead.

I know what you,re saying.
I had a friend she had everything, and one year she said she was getting a bike for christmas, so for months i kept on at my poor mum to get me one. The answer was always "No cant afford one" (she was bringing up up alone).

Anyway Christmas day come and there in the room was a racer bike, I was soo happy coz i knew how much she must of struggled to pay to get me this prezzy, so, off i went to my mates so we could go on a bike ride and when i got there she said hadnt got a bike but a effing typwriter!!

I was so mad, not the fact she had got a typwriter, because my poor mum scrimped and saved to get me that bike. I learnt a very important lesson that day!

Raspberry trifle made only like my Scottish mum can. Takes me right back to sunday roast and sitting on top of the coal bunker outside the kitchen door watching my mum cook while my brother tried to taunt me into playing cricket with him.

We had a dodgy shopkeeper who would sell single ciggies too - think it was completely illegal - especially as half the kids were underage too.
