hey the steamboat inn ....:lol: many a night/day drinking in it. no photos o JP jones cottage just down the road very understated tourist attraction?. Carsethorn was a major port for immigration to the new worlds ,the auld jetty supports can still be seen (in 06 anyway) and along from the INN along by the public toilets is the building that convicts were housed before going to Australia. come on man some photos from round Caerlaverock way/shearington village:rofl::p so I can see what happened tae the farm cottage I lived in when I first got married... keep up the guid work.

These are very good scarecrows. It seems to be a National thing as several villages in the UK do the as well.

The sheep one was very realistic and was a full sheepskin filled with straw. Apparently a lot of cars stopped thinking the mother and lambs might run out onto the road in front of them!
