Thanks; it's a well known local spot for autumn photos. My friend says he's waiting for the perfect shot with maybe a gypsy caravan and horse on the road as well as the autumn leaves! It doesn't look right with a car or a person. The alternative would be a red squirrel in the foreground.

On the theme of the very small world we live in - I was at the Sports Council meeting a few nights ago at which we decided the annual sports awards and one award is going to the resident of 6 Moss Road Terrace!! (Sheila McMurtrie, nee McDonald, has just won the Ladies Championship at Dalbeattie Golf Club for the astounding 34th time!! Her sister Maureen has won the Ladies Championship at Dalbeattie Tennis Club 28 times which is some achievement by them)

What asmall world - 6 Moss Road - amazes me

Some photos from further afield. I had to go up to Edinburgh for a Tennis Scotland meeting so here's some photos in Edinburgh and the lovely countryside between Edinburgh and Moffat on the way back. Arthur's Seat behind Merchants of Edinburgh golf course, Broughton village, River Tweed etc. The light wasn't very good for photography being autumn and mid afternoon:

Kirkcudbright is picture postcard subject matter even when it is a dreich autumn day (Museum and down by the harbour, harbour gallery and Maclellan's Castle):

Now Kirkcudbright is just as i remember it. Some beautiful images of autumn, the colours are beautiful

Yes it never changes (luckily) and the autumn colours are special now.

Nothing much to post of late as it's been wet, dull, dreary and the daylight hours are rapidly receding but I'll post once the weather and photographic conditions improve.
