Not voted. The last two were promising but I do use supermarkets so not opposed in principal to them and I don't drink tea, I loathe it so my conscience won't let me pick that one either

<pedantic>If you're going to ask which is the best supermarket, then the answer's going to be Waitrose. If you're talking a price to quality metric then I'd say Sainsburys. But for anyone living in Australia, it's kind of irrelevant with regard to Tescos, Sainsburys, Co-Op or Happy Shopper because they're 12,000 miles away and while I don't mind travelling to get supplies, that seems a bit excessive.</pedantic>

I don't think anyone can seriously disagree with that statement.
That said I still prefer my shopping experience here. I get all I need and enjoy it more. I would hate the UK supermarket set-up here.
However, the claim that Tesco is the best UK supermarket is nonsense, most popular, does not make it best. Ford sell more cars than BMW.

Never been a fan of Beemers, but then I'm not a fan of Ford either

If you're saying that Tesco's is the most popular would you say that's because it's the biggest and they're everywhere so more people have to use them and thus get the most popular tag, or is it that people have asked for more Tesco's and so Tesco's have answered the call and thus become the most popular?

Sorry about the pompous sound but I couldn't work out how to word it differently I am actually interested if only because I hated the shop but used it occasionally because it was convenient.

Louiseh86 has voted for every answer. I don't think it's going to be a true representation of what people actually think

Same here to the latter part. Tescos is a behemoth that wants to put all comers out of business. That is the name of the game. The shoppers score with lower prices but lose corner shops, grocers etc.
This was crucial to me as they sell woeful meat and with the dearth of real butchers, getting a good cut will become difficult.
Don't get me started on how Tescos pressurise and blackmail suppliers into taking the hit so they can pass a cheaper product onto the end user whilst maintaining profits.
They are all that is wrong in our consumer led society today. and wal-mart.

Don't think she does them anymore since her meltdown - wasn't good advertising for a freezer food shop
