The Sullivans - remember?
#16
..... but set in the suburb of Camberwell. Steven Tandy, who played Tom, was last seen playing the obnoxious Mr Hodges, in the stage production of "Dad's Army". Brilliant BTW. The woman who played Kitty, unfortunately passed away, and the rest seemed to disappear into obsurity after parts in other tv series.

Aww, that's sad, she can't have been very old.

Was just looking at houses online and seen some wonderful old corkers the traditional 'federation' homes I think they are called. Anyway, it was while looking at one of these homes I remembered 'The Sullivans' and ozzie soap set during world war II.
That's how I knew Mrs Mangle in neighbours, she used to be Mrs Jessop in the Sullivans and Tom Sullivan was beautiful.
I wonder if anyone knows what state it was set in and if there are any old sky channels in which I can watch it.
Good Luck,
Croc

To borrow an English term, Ahh Bless!! Thansk for the wonderful memories! I remember Mrs Jessop too!!
I'd say it was shot in Victoria or Sydney (just guessing though).
Does anyone remember AGAINST THE WIND about the convicts and early pioneers?? (Starring JOhn English and Sigrid Thornton?) That is available on DVD. I would love to buy it.

Yes - they had the wombat in the house
When I was a kid in Aus I remember turning the t.v over to watch Little house on the Prairie and they had just started showing Prisoner Cell block H. I was devistated....
