Can anyone tell me if on the beaches at McRae and on Safety beach there is a problem with "stingers". If so, what time of the year.

Are you talking about Mcrae and Safety Beach on the Mornington Peninsula in VIC ? If so, no stingers like on East coast, but there can be jelly fish that will sting, but nothing major.

Theres really nothing to worry about swimming in Victoria except the danger of drowning. l have been swimming in the beaches in Victoria for 30 years and never been bitten by anything. As someone said there might be some jellyfish that sting but are otherwise harmless but l have never been bitten by one.
