Default still under the care of a consultant in the UK?

.............has anybody successfully got their visa if they are still under the care of a consultant in the UK?

my niece is still under the care of a ENT consultant in the UK. i was just wondering if anybody has successfully got their visa in these circumstances?
her parents (my brother and his wife), are concerned that this will go against them

I was under a consultant when we left. I just got records of my condition and was advised to seek a new specialist when I got here. As long as she has all of her records I wouldnt imagine it'd be a problem at all (obviously dependent upon the condition).

No panic

it's not life long, just a problem with a childs hearing (mastoid, grommits, ENT specialist - that sort of thing)

i though there might be a few more answers than yours Mrs Jackaroo.........any more for any more? you dont have to divulge what your medical condition was/is, just to confirm that visa's do get given to people who are still under the care of a specialist.

I wouldn't think this would be any sort of concern to be honest. There are children who come here with life long conditions they have to cope with... I recall several, rheumatoid arthritis etc on here and it's been fine.
Just refer to a new doc. Kids get sick and ear probs/gromits are fairly standard fare.

mmm, that's what i think as well. it will just be a case of getting all relevant paperwork off the consultant (or as much as they can). my S-I-L is just worried incase it can be a visa refusal on this basis.

Heck no. I've seen people get in with much worse! Look at me... life long condition, same as Mrs J.
I'm in.

I see an ENT specialist every couple of years to check my hearing (had problems since birth) I was referred to see a specialist for a report but other than that no problem

Grommits for glue ear are a standard procedure. Just check that the consultant hasn't said anything about permanent deafness. Deafness is a criteria for visa refusal.

If there is any mention of deafness you might want to consult Peter Bollard, who is a migration agent specialising in visas for people with medical conditions.

We passed the temp visa and had two kids seeing a consultant.
One is rare condition with no cure, and he passed medical.
Medical test doc said it was conditions that will stop you working and leading normal life they are concerned with.

You should be ok

sorry guys..........i hadnt had any e-mails to let me know you had replied!!

thanks for your replies. hopefully this should alleviate their concerns a bit. they are the last family member over here (on my side), and so the last of the jigsaw. because my niece is still under the care of a consultant and therefore still ongoing, i think that they are thinking it might not go in their favour.
