Sport for kids
Hi everyone I am just starting the process and hoping to move to the Perth area. My son 10yrs old and an excellent footballer says he doesnt want to go as he will miss his footy. Is there much football in ozz? it wont change my mind in the move but just want to keep him happy as it will be hard enough for him

First thing, footie doesnt mean soccer in Aus! He will find that there are plenty of soccer teams (I am in Canberra and we have many kids soccer, rugby, Aussie rules teams every winter) and wont have any trouble joining one at all. In the summer there are other sports and most kids, if they do a sport, unless it is a year round sport like swimming, will do a summer sport and a winter one and generally with a local team.
He can look here for some ideas about what is going on for junior soccer

Hi
Our son is 13 we are in Perth & he has a Soccer Scholarship in School. Dont know much about primary schools but they do have plenty of football clubs over here in school & out. So tell him not to worry.
