Splitting a block of land

have you tried google maps for looking at the blocks ??

One other thing that someone might know:
If you buy a bush type block (say 5 acres) can you not split it but build multiple dwellings within in it to rent out as holiday type homes, obviously not build a mini housing estate on it, something more along the lines of smaller eco type buildings.
Obviously need the relevant approvals etc but does the land need to be classified differently in anyway?
Assuming it is possible, is there anything to stop you splitting the block up by trees/plants/fencing etc to say have a 3acres section which we could develop as our property and then on the other structure as the holiday rental side of it (so not officially apply to split the block).

Fella up the rd did that.
Again, it depends on your local council.
You would probably have a covenant, of some sort put on the block, that you could not at some time then offsell said cabins + 600 m2 individually.
We were talking to agent about this only a few days ago, and she had spotted a 22 acre block up the rd, which is about ideal for an eco tourism thang ( especially as its a steep block )
Not sure, be interested to watch this discussion progress...
