Speeding up the Internet using Mobile Broadband on Windows 7
Been over here a few years, thought i would share this with the forum. I have been using Telstra/Vodafone, speeds fine but my laptop was incorrectly set up, so slowing traffic. Since changing to these settings, well the speeds are much faster. If you are encountering slow speeds, try them out, nothing severe, easy to swap back.

Start Menu - RUN - type in "gpedit.msc" - Administrative Templates - Network - QoS Packet Scheduler - Limit Reserved Bandwidth - Enabled - 0 %
Click "Start," type CMD, right-click the cmd.exe link and select "Run as administrator" to launch an elevated command prompt, then type:
netsh int tcp show global
netsh int tcp set global dca=enabled
Original Setting would be netsh int tcp set global dca=disabled

Original Setting would be netsh int tcp set global netdma=disabled
