So, who else has got it?
I have just acquired the alphanumeric characters "H1N1" next to my name. Not the sort of letters I was working towards getting put after my name, but they'll do.

No, I had proper flu, flattened me for over a week. None of that meek and mild pig cold.

My daughter had it last month, just 2 weeks before we were set to go on a week's holiday to Sydney. Thankfully she had a mild case and was on the mend after only a week. It did put her in bed for the first 4 or 5 days with very high fever and headache. Then came the cough which sounded like she was a pack a day smoker!

Had flu symptoms for 24 hours 2 weeks ago. Slow onset, waited all day for fever to arive at night, but woke up fine. Convalesced the next day.

Still not feeling like eating much which is nice because I wanted to lose a little more weight....
I'm going to have one of those little badges printed... 'Lose weight - ask me how'.
Hope you feel better soon BS. I've only had flu properly once before and whilst this was different, it was pretty debilitating. Look after yourself.

Thanks guys. I must say this is the worst bout of flu I've ever had. l've been that out of it I was halucinating last night. They've given me that tamiflu stuff but it's still too early to work out whether it's working or not.

Hallucinating seems to be a common symptom. I didn't... but know others who did.

It's the fever that makes you hallucinate. My poor daughter was so hot even Panadol didn't bring it down but she felt freezing. She was sitting with 2 or 3 blankets wrapped around herself but shivering.
Feel better BS. If you start to feel worse then get yourself to A&E. While it's relatively mild in some people it can be a real bitch in others.
