I put out apples and crackers for him ths year but the possums pinched it so he didn't leave me any pressies
When my littlest niece was about 4 she put out some cake and one of her dad's beers for him, plus carrots for the reindeer. Her brother had the cake and carrots, dad had the beer, then her brother made muddy footmarks on the conservatory floor as if it was Santa leaveing, and some hoof marks too
Her response in the morning was to stand with her hands on her hip, surveying the scene indignantly, and saying she would tell Santa off if she ever met him cos of the awful mess he'd made
What did you and your kids out out for him?

Nothing this year. DD is nearly 18. She is still in bed and it is gone 10am, so I still haven't got round to the presents.

This is the cusp year for the kid, she found out from a classmate that there was no Mr Claus earlier in the year so cookies and milk not necessary ... A shame but that is growing up ... Plus more cookies for me.
Presents ... Plenty of toys for the kid and some homemade shortbread and a home-decorated coffee cup for work for me.
We don't do shop-bought adult presents and grateful are we ...

They are all on the cusp - this year I both increased the coal (2 lumps) and increased the beatings. They were grateful for what they received.
They also enjoyed the tradition of unwrapping plastic formed en masse in Chinese factories and I enjoyed the tradition of driving down to the Servo to get the C class batteries!!! I was not the only father crowded around the battery stand..
