Ok the really simple things in life that slightly brighten your day are?
Not the big ones like kids, hubbies etc, just the real simple ones:
Some of mine:
1) First cup of decent coffee in the morning, made by someone else
2) The smell when you open up a bag of coffee beans
3) Finding something in the wardrobe that doesn't need ironing
4) Taking out those contact lenses after 8 hours
5) Getting the last parking spot at work
6) Hitting every green light on the drive in
7) How your hair feels when its first washed and dried
8) A hot wheat bag on your neck on a pulled neck muscle......bliss
9) Listening to the rain knowing you don't have to go outside
10) That song on the radio that you haven't heared for ages

Some of my simple pleasures...
A spontaneous hug from someone I love.
Not having to leave the house all day on a cold day.
Not having to hurry anywhere.
Putting on my daggy granny nightie (which tells me I'm warm, comfortable and I don't need to go out again before bed).
Saying hello to the goldfish when they come up for their food in the morning.
Hearing the magpies warble.
Feeling the Winter sun on my back.

Ditto the smell of fresh coffee
Warm, fresh home made bread or cake
First smell of rain after a warm spell
Smell of freshly mown grass
Most Madness songs
A soft boiled, free range egg, laid that day with soldiers (or asparagus
)
Putting on my scruffs (jogging bottoms and sloppy top) after a hard day
Doing the crossword in the Sunday magazine supplement
Beating the OH at anything
And a lovely hot shower

a real wood fire when it's cold outside
platter of my favourite nibbles (smoked almonds, cheese, sundreid tomatoes, salami) and a nice glass of bubbly
A good book to read while soaking in the bath
my bloke giving me a foot rub
autumn brisk walk when the leaves are golden/red/orange and crunchy
laying in the arms of a special person
finding $$ in a handbag not used for a while
the view from my window

A square of cadbury's chocolate from the UK sent by a friend.
My OH cooking a roast.
DD hugging me and telling me she loves me.
A good cup of Earl Grey tea.
A warm wheat pack.
A bath with bubbles in it.
Picking the fresh fruit/veg that the possums/cockatoos haven't ruined.
Making marmalade.
The first illicit nibble of a freshly baked gluten free brownie.
Scraping the cake mix bowl as DD isn't there to snarf it.
The smell of freshly baked bread (even though I can't eat it).
A blue sky autumn day with colourful leaves.
OH saying he still finds me sexy.
Snuggling.

My slippers
Ceylon tea in a proper bone china mug
Homemade chicken soup with leeks and barley
A cold Queensland crisp winter morning
UK spring
Canadian Fall
Fresh sheets, just off the line dried in the Sun
Jumping back into bed with a hot mug of tea on a chilly morning
My collection of 40's 50's 60's clothing, patterns, china, glass....

6pm every day - DH baths the children and I get to sit quietly with the laptop for 10 minutes, without any interruptions. (Unlike now, where there's one small child tugging my arm.)
That moment, as you're sewing, when it finally starts to look like whatever it is you're making. The even better one is just after you've finished sewing and get to try it on - and it fits!
My slow cooker being full - knowing I've got dinner sorted and it's only 9am.
