According to perf now... Shapelle corby could be released on parole by August ... If her previous reductions are taken into account and if she is eligible for parole... Apparently their politcal boss has granted a five year reduction in her sentence for clemency...

I read a while ago, the passport fee or some tax we pay was going up to cover the cost of rescuing aussies who get into dumb shite while overseas.

How about instead of plastering every page of the the passport with kangaroos and wombats, why not just plaster it with " Idiots who involve themself with drugs overseas will no longer be entitled to Australian taxpayer fund legal aid, deals done by K Rudd, an interview with Tracey Grimshaw, a novel or movie with the words australian hero in it".

BTW the new passport and driving licence are really funny, the passport office rejected the partners application twice, shadow on photo...... We finally get it back and he has a kangaroo holograph on his face. On my driving licence, I have a southern cross tatt on the right side of my head. Its a wonder how anyone overseas takes these new documents seriously, let alone pick out the fine details of your features.

Maybe it's because she's a local girl but the local news and papers seem to have to do a piece on her at least monthly. Dragging her family out to whitter on about how she's sick, and innocent and blah blah blah Don't know if the rest of the country get the same.
