At long last, our first pet in Australia: Themba (pronounced Temba, a Zulu word which means trust, hope and faith).

This is Jimmy the wonderpuss! He's an 8 year old chocolate burmese who we adopted about 18 months ago. He's a cat...so he doesn't do much...but his main hobbies are snuggling, eating and snuggling!

You forgot to include 'plotting our deaths while we sleep'.

Snuggling is just cat code for 'find their soft, vulnerable bits' ;)

(and the more gorgeous the cat, the more deadly it is - we know this from personal experience)

Leia - thinking she was a Christmas Fairy

https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3544/...da4eabb6_z.jpg

Her litter brother Luke. Obviously they had to be called Luke and Leia because they're brother and sister and look nothing alike.

That started the Star Wars theme of pet names, so then we had..

Obi, a Birmin, who is a bleeding nightmare but gets away with it because, well, I mean, look at that face!

And then finally, Bob (short for Boba Fett, obviously) and Solo.

Sleep? Oh, you mean that blessed time between about midnight and 3AM before the pacing around on the pillow and the vocal demands for treats start!?

Rhodesian Ridgeback? Absolutely gorgeous.

This is Bronn, our rescue. Don't let that gorgeous fluff ball fool you. He's a mean fighting machine. We have had him nearly 2 years now, when he was about 4 months old. He's not a lap cat at all. Tolerates a few strokes before disappearing off to investigate somewhere. Comes in for some treats, then scoots off again.

Every so often I have to visit a shelter to get my dog fix as ROMFT won't let me get one:cry_smile:

You can have this one, I'll even ship him over for you

He just needs a box so he can be a trapdoor spidercat.

I thought I had a video of him being a trapdoor spidercat on youtube (and failing miserably) but obviously not.

I do have one of Bob and Leia 'sharing' a meal.
