I hope he does well, but he's got a hell of a job on his hands..

I rather like the bloke.............I have pictures of my kids in their England shirts, taken about 10 years ago (I think), and they both had 'Shearer' on the back.
Actually it might have been even longer than that.............I know it was world cup time and the shirts were a burgundy sort of colour!!

Hope he can pull it off and keep them up
On the Flip side, the "he hasn't had enough time to get the team to gel" wont wash come the end of the season if the worst happens and he will end up like KK
Good luck

Being married to a geordie and having 3 geordie sons and having lived there myself for the last 17 years I have earned the right to say KK was the worse thing that ever happened to Newcastle.
Talk about ruin a team from the grass roots ups
he completely wrecked the infrastructure and its taken hell of a long time to rebuild but I think Al with a bit of help from his mate Rob Lee (if he joins him) may be able to bring some life back into the toon, god i hope so or I will never hear the end of it

Don't like the bloke - he's boring boring boring, but wish them well.
Was really funny though when his daughter sent his 'in car sing song of U2' on youtube
