Very sad for this guy and his family and friends. Taking an ocean swim as many have before, to the best of my knowledge no one has been taken by a Great White in Sydney ever.
The videos are very scary. The great white goes in twice. Usually sharks bugger off after the first test and they realise it's not for them.
I swim at Little Bay Beach a lot, but don't venture the 200 metres out of the cove and along the cliff face. It gets pretty wild and rugged around that point pretty quickly. It just feels sharky.
Had a quick dip at Coogee today but the beach was pretty much deserted. It could take a while to see crowds again
Very sad for the guy.
