Depends on location: Melbourne, Sydney, Perth?
30 racks together?
Do you know your cooling requirements?
Considered Virtualisation to reduce the number of physical servers & therefore rack space you'll need (keeps the costs down)?

Need a little more info to point you in the right direction.

We are based in Melbourne and this is with virtualisation consideration.

Would cooling requirements not already be covered by the SLA? The power is based on our current consumption - I heard Telstra only offered 1kw so wonder how much the rate is on top of that.

Was thinking in vicinity of around $2400 per month should cover it pre GST.

Not sure of the Melbourne prices but have seen people quoting anywhere from $1000 - $2500 per rack per month (depending on the "quality" of data centre/co-lo). Best please to ask would be in a Whirlpool forums - there's a couple of threads: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum...+colocation&f=

Whirlpool is interesting as the outages are often documented in there. It is worrying when some run out of power.
