Selling your house in OZ.
Queensland, would you put your house on the market now or wait till end of next year??
End of next year gives us somewhere very nice to live for next 20 months.
Selling now, being considered as couple of neighbours look like they are doing a panic and may be selling at a silly price ( that goes on RP data etc )
Partner says stay and see how market is next year.
I am thinking, sad to sell house, but its got to be sold next year anyway...
Friends all say dont sell the market is crap right now and you will only get doorkickers and knobs making silly offers.
Opinions on market, particuarly if you have house up for sale right now.

Love the agents right now too.
Comission of 25/30K but they expect you to pay for everything. Even putting it on the Internet - $450, a sign $200, photos $450, then she says $800 per ad.
Then she made a joke about english people, obviously not realising I was erm english.
Good start, racist agent trying to fleece me.

If you are asking if people think the market is currently over valued - well - I do

Re: Selling your house in OZ.
As builders, I can see a lot of houses are now being sold below the cost of buying land and constructing a house on it. Building costs have risen dramatically in spite of what any market is doing. More and more regulations all add to the cost too. Buying and selling costs are also huge.
So many factors.

Go Gecko, capped commission of $6995 and they are good.
Unfortunately racism like that seems to be acceptable for whatever reason. It would be enough reason for me not to use them and make it clear why not.

The UK is dramatically cheaper to build or renovate. .... especially when you source your builder from the continent.
