Has anyone actually managed to secure a job over the internet while outside Australia?

The website seek seems to have a lot going on............

Not secured a job but had interviews arranged for when I arrived using Seek.

it's not an easy thing to do, i guess that an employer would rather an applicant who is in the country other one that isn't unless your skill set is in such high demand that their only choise is to look o/s

Services marketing mainly (15+ years exp in retail, healthcare and financial services marketing). I now work for the University of Queensland - hadn't worked specifically in the education sector previously (I had, however, lectured in marketing in the UK) but I researched the heck out of it before having the interview so I could at least sound like I knew what I was talking about

i was interested to see a job advert on a national website here that stated that people living outside australia should not apply, possibly because they didnt want to wait for someone to take up the post.or to go through the process of checking overseas refs and qualifications. it has taken me 4 months to get reregistered as occupational therapist here mainly due to the to & fro of paperwork and getting it all signed and certified. fortunately my new employers have been happy to wait and i start work next week having been interviewed in dec
