I'm a sucker for a tube of pork exploding it's hot juices into my mouth....the near ecstatic gagging before gulping down the gloopy mush.
So with that in mind, I'd like to facilitate a sausage symposium, where we can talk all things sausage related. No snags will gain entry into my mouth these days. Well, this very evening we had brannans Cumberland sausages from aldi....firm, meaty, coarse texture, in short, tasty as f6ck, and as good as anything I've had in the uk, way better than anything else here, numerous butchers included....and perlease, don't get me started on economy BBQ snags from Coles or woolies |

Also similar to Walls English Pork sausage. Your nice average tasty every day soft pork sausage. (and they are seriously yummy!!! :wub:)
They do Lincolnshire sausages too, haven't tried them yet though. |

get the too Aldi's |
Re: The Sausage Report
Not having an Aldi or similar here makes it hard not to go with Cole's or Woollies for our sausage, and when we do have them they are always done in the oven with loads of cooking onions to try and mask the shitty taste of tastelessness:rofl:

Re: The Sausage Report
My advice is to avoid any major supermarkets, I won't mention names, in the search for bangers. Try around local butchers. There must be some, even in Perth. They will probably cost the same or even less, for much better quality stuff. Seriously, cos you just don't fugk around when it comes to sausages:D

One thing that Poms and Aussies have in common - crap sausages

Re: The Sausage Report
Woolies now sell;
Cumberland Pork sausages by The British Sausage Company:thumbup: they are really good, they come pre-packed in the snag department. Taste pretty similar to Uk ones. |

Re: The Sausage Report
When in Rome... Aka Northern Subs of Melbourne, you have to go with the Italians. They make some real tasty fare. I particularly enjoy the Lago's made ones, which you can find in delis around town. They use plenty of Herbs including Fennel and Parsley.
So find an Italian Deli and you should be on the right track. |
