If they'd 'won' because it's a seriously good record and there hadn't been all the publicity I'd be pleased for them but it became such a stupid false and aggressive competition to 'beat' Simon Cowell, that it actually leaves a bit of a nasty taste in the mouth.

I preferred it in the old days when record companies would massage sales figures behind closed doors

That song (Killing In The Name Of) is about 16 years old? I saw them play Reading back in the early 90's. Talk about "Mosh Of The Century" too...Had an amazing (yet mildly dangerous) time watching them play that.....
