PAP, my son and myself are going as well. Your ticket gives you free travel on all Translink services (train, bus) on the 17th. Cant help with where to park as I live on the GC but if you fancy meeting up for a few drinks before the game we will be in the Caxton (right next to the stadium in Caxton St) from about 4:30. If you want I can pm you my mobile no.

Have any other A League followers here seen this.....
Whats really annoying about the following is they could have made it so much better by involving Melbourne Victory, Wellington, and Brisbane Roar. F knows why they've held this in Sydney and not Melbourne where the actual crowds are. Spewing down here about this.
Sydney will become the epicentre of the football world between July 25 - 31 with three of Europe's biggest clubs set to battle it out against Hyundai A-League champions Sydney FC in the inaugural Sydney Festival of Football! Scottish champions Glasgow Rangers, EPL glamour club Blackburn Rovers and iconic Greek club AEK Athens will battle it out with Sydney FC over a three day round robin tournament commencing on Sunday July 25, at the Sydney Football Stadium.
Don't miss this chance to see some of the biggest names in world football, including Qantas Socceroos Brett Emerton and Vince Grella only week's out from the start of their respective seasons!
As a special offer exclusive to the FFA football family, if you buy a ticket now you can go in the draw to win a FREE ticket upgrade for you and three friends to watch one of the double headers in a VIP suite! There are also six official Sydney Festival of Football game balls to be won - don't miss out, get your TICKETS NOW!

Wellington will possibly be the biggest team in the A league this year, in front of Melbourne Victory, which could be a good thing.

sounds like it would be a good few days out. Dont think the wife would be to keen on the idea. Real football is the only thing i have missed since being over here. Maybe if it takes off they will move it next year to give others a chance to see it.

Your honestly better off going to a game v Sydney, Adelaide, Wellington or MV.

Perth are actually interesting, they pick one eastern seaboard team to travel to each season in numbers, bringing around 300 plus supporters with them, that would be good to go to if they Pick Brisbane this time, they could do, as they've already been to Sydney and Melbourne.

If they do pick up genuine supporters, which looks the case, then October the 6th at Swan St v MV will be mad.
Good luck this season.

How do you reckon Roar are going to go this year. I dont expect anything from MV, they havent bought anyone, plus I think the limelight and emphasis is on Melbourne Heart this year. They managed 19,000 against Everton, which is probably a good sign for the future of the club in the A league.
