My Mum has one of those....finds it a pain - can't go near anything without it bleeping..

Get to know how to drive your new car...and trust yourself.

The other driver normally lets you know with a clear audible honk. If no driver present why do you worry Fit a tow bar for extra clearance

Or a bull bar if there is any difficulty in going forward....

'Depth charger' fishing rod holders are also useful for those slow moving pedestrians and cyclists..

You will never reverse AIDS. It's out there now. Maybe one day they'll be a cure. For now, we just have to ensure there's sufficient quality of life for those that have it.

Ignore the macho chest beating grunts, it would spoil their image to admit that reversing cameras can be a very useful drivers aid and have saved lives.
Reverse-safe do an excellent one. If like our neighbor you have impaired movement they are worth their weight in gold.

I beg your pardon, but just HOW much movement do you need to be able to turn your head slightly to the left and right to look in your wing mirrors? (oh, and in a car, you even get an extra one thrown in free (rear view))

There's nothing macho about being able to reverse - surely it is all part of becoming an accomplished driver that is safe to go out on the roads?

I drove a Range Rover a few weeks back that had this fitted...what a pain in the arse it was, glad you could turn it off and honestly saw absolutely no use or need for it!

More movement than you can accomplish with your C1 through C5 fused together.

Yes yes and when new wide angle & multiview mirrors began to be fitted all the old truckies said there was no need for them either
It's a process of evolution, your obviously a little bit behind the times.
