does anyone know the ratio on those that stay and those that return?

I'm sure that someone on BE told me it's about 20 per cent although that may not take into account the ones who return to the UK then decide to re-emigrate to Australia.

On that 'Ten Pound Poms' doco it said over a million Brits went out to OZ, a quarter of them returned to the UK, but half of those returnees then went back to Australia.
