ABC showed it through November. It iwas filmed on the Illawarra coast between Sydney and Wollongong, places like Stanwell Park, Thirroul & Coledale - plenty of places I recognise from my drives down that way. Can't say I was a fan of the programme, or the original as it was all a bit contrived.

I sometimes wish we had spent more time exploring NSW rather than exploring most of WA (a huge state with not a lot really to “see” for the size) we are talking of an extended holiday to NZ but I would like to see more of NSW, my DH has no interest in visiting Australia though. I do not mind this series as it’s light hearted it could be better as the main actor really lets it down very wooded, we use to watch Death in Paradise but it went downhill and have nit watch that for a long time, Beyond Paradise is much better.

Fairly typical Aussie TV series with lovely scenery but ordinary acting. I can see the beach scenes being enticing during a UK winter though. Far prefer the original French/UK version although a bit overdone at times , Touches of Seachange series from the nineties ?. More attractive scenery than found in WA for sure. Worth visiting from afar? Depends. High costs make the value less worth than years back. Probably middle ranking if a score was required. Europe or States has more to offer IMO.
