Smile Return flights or single?

Hi

does anyone have any thoughts experience on whether to book return flights or single from uk ( with view to coming back to visit at some point during the year). I was looking purely from a practical/financial view and have a feeling that you can get much cheaper flights from uk side. If this is not the case can anyone let me know. thanks

ps we are emigrating to brisbane in may/june but want to try to visit as often as possible in the short term as we have elderly parents.

Easier said than done - the flights are a killer, costly and time consuming. On the other hand, maybe you should buy return tickets at first, but in reality going back regularly will be impossible.

If you are going to be visiting the UK at least once a year it will be cheaper to buy return fares in the UK, but make sure your airline will allow you to change the date at least once without charge unless you are able to plan that far ahead.
