If you like restoration shows, this one is great, and George is lovely
Hope you can get it over there.
Be aware, the first episode is a weepie as well.
Would help to add a link I suppose

I think it was episode 1 of series 1 that I watched the other day.
Agree George is lovely - I am biased because his accent is very familiar and comforting
but he's also passionate about the subject, unlike the crop of current "property experts" hosting UK property shows. Ageing choir boys, page 3 girls, kids' TV presenters...
(Quick google, yes it was E1S1 http://www.channel4.com/programmes/r...guide/series-1 )

It would be a tough choice between George and Kevin McCloud as my next husband - actually I quite like the Grand Designs Australia man too. Obviously go for the creative, handy types - about as far away as you could get from husband one or two

I think (and I know, it's a little heretical) that I prefer the Grand Designs Australia bloke..
(prefer him to Kevin McCloud that is, obviously not to GorgeousGeorge

Kevin can do no wrong. He seems to be able to converse with any foreign builder in their language, and did you see his Grand Tour? And he wears a lovely Paul Smith scarf...sigh... (Apparently he appeals to gay men too, as my friends say he's going to be their European tour guide when they win the lotto.)
I cried watching him in the slums of India, he was so incensed by the way people had to scavenge on rubbish tips to live, and equally incensed that their homes will be cleared. Last night I watched him in a Grand Designs where a group of low-income people were building their own houses, and I howled with laughter as he obviously suppressed his thoughts on one woman's collection of scary ornaments, because obviously it was all she'd ever wanted and who was he to criticise? (Dolphin-shaped coffee table, WTF?)
(My name is Seasider and I am a property programme addict. My Dad was a builder

Actually, my name is Dreamy and I am a reality tv (of all types, except 'scripted' tv such as TOWIE/Jersey Shore/Geordie Shore (wtf?) or anything containing a Kardashian clone or Paris Hilton) addict.
I have no shame. Nor taste, apparently.

I thought this thread was going to be about a comic book super hero based on Charles II
