May not be as big as you want though.

For the whole family we have a The North Face trailhead 8, It's relatively light (for a big tent) and goes up quite easily with just one person and I think they do a smaller version.
If its just me a John then we've a north face merlin 33 which has stood up to the most angry scottish rain and wind.
I would recommend either and generally the north face as a quality brand but I'm not sure if they're available and if so what kinda price in Au.
Good luck with it

Its ok, i didn't mean to come across as ungrateful.
Just not sure if the north face gear is available in oz, and there are just a few unknown names to me.

Thanks for the links guys, but what i really want to know is what make of tent is decent. I don't want some cheap k-mart job, i want one that will last, be waterproof and not be like a krypton factor puzzle to put up.

We have a Coleman Chalet 9 - ideal for 4 people but can do 9 at a squeeze and it is great. 2 bedrooms and a central area plus awning front and rear. You can get one with a third bedroom in a "T" shape too. It is always better to have the kids in a separate room
All of us that go away together have also invested in what we call our kitchen tents - like a gazebo with fly mesh all round. We leave the kitchen stuff set up in that for convenience and to keep the tent clear.
The best thing we ever bought was the Engel. At $1200 it aint cheap but how can you put a price on cold beer on a hot day

You said before you didn't know whether North Face were here. They are and you know they are good. Move the goal posts why don't you
