No way!

Its not that cold in Freo, it is fleecy pj's and a hot mug of Milo but that is about it, Ive still got my thongs on.

Bloody hell you must be freezing.:o

Seriously I have to look into getting a gas fire and see how much it will cost us and find someone to fit it for us.

Our bedroom never gets cold but our living room does, even Gordon is snuggled up in a blanket.

Hows your mortgage application going? I telephoned Keystart today and they said as I had got a new job and Mr PP was working, we were not able to get the shared equity scheme.

I need to look into it all, its so confusing.

Have you found a property yet to buy?

Think i am feeling it more cos i am tired
Mortgage!!!:blink: is driving me nuts! Have found a property i love, offer in subject to finance. Keep being told i will hear back today, tomorrow, the next day  so i am TRYING to be patient.
There doesnt seem to be very much info on the keystart site and to be honest whilst its a great scheme it all seems to take so long passing forms from one place to another then back to the first place that its amazing anyone ever gets the house they wanted in the first place

WHAT I also didnt find out was that you are supposed to be resident in Oz for minimum 6 months before they will let you do the scheme. Guy doing our finance is trying to get it through now for us cos by time of settlement we will have done the 6 months (blimey feels like been here for a lifetime already)

We wanted to get a mortgage in Mr PPs name only so we wouldnt have to rely on both salaries just to be safe.

Keystart said that as I will be working then they cant help me as we will be over the threshold.

I dont know what to do either way. Mind you Keystart do offer the low deposit mortgage as well.

We shall be waiting I suppose as you say they want 6 months of living here first.

Seeing you girls talking about the cold promted me to post in the main forum. If you have a gas bayonet in your place there's no fitting, just buy one and plug in.
A gas heater is around the $1000 mark but vary according to capacity/brand etc.

And it gets colder than this I'm afraid!
