Default Qld and WA Demerits

Guys

I have not had a good 24 hours. In Brisbane I may have run a red light camera. Defo not on red but close. One of those genuine should I shouldn't I ones.
Anyway also found myself speeding in the new tunnel.
No excuses (well I do but thats not the point)

Anyway how long do demerits take to come through in Qld? Bear in mind I was in a rental.
Also in WA on long weekends we get double demerits. Is this the case in Qld? I couldn't find anything on the website.

In WA, does anyone know the disqual period for 12 points?
If all the worst case scenarios I could be in trouble.

There are no 'double demerit' periods in QLD. However this may not help you, the deal with interstate fines is as follows:

The state where you offend issues the fine. You pay them the $$ figure THEY specify for the offence committed. The offence details are forwarded to the licencing state (WA in your case) - and the licencing state apply whatever penalty points are required for the offence committed as mandated by their rules.

In this way when I, a couple of years ago got pinged doing 12kph over the limit in NSW on an Easter Friday, I paid the ~$300 fine to NSW - but instead of being issued the 6 points (3 for being 12kph over - double for public holiday) I got 1 point (less than 13kph over) on my licence.

Good luck!

Oh I so hope you are right, would make sense as the maximum points rules seem to differ state to state.
If so, for my sins, WA carry less points so I may be very lucky.
Thanks for giving me hope
