Thankyou all so much for your lovely words and all that karma

It has been a fantastic day. I didnt know I would ever be able to feel this proud of my kids.
I am emotionally drained so off to bed - thanks again for everything - I seem to have spent the whole day crying

Thought you may like to see a pic of my three fantastic children

I don't know where to post this and you probably not really interested
BUT today I have had one pretty proud mum moment and I have not long stopped skriking!!
My 19 year old son is on his final weeks training for the Police (Specials) and on Sunday he becomes a fully fledged police officer. I have just dropped him off at the police training centre where he will spend the weekend before being sworn in on Sunday afternoon (I mustnt forget the tissues!
)
I have raised my kids alone and its been hard but today and for sure on Sunday every single last drop of blood, sweat and tears has been proved worthwhile.
i am so proud I am fit to bursting

..........OK as you were

Thankyou everybody
I didnt expect this reaction when i started thread
Yesterday has to go down as one of the happiest days of my life. I dont DO sob stories but all I have done this weekend is sob
It didnt help when they started the ceremony off with Heather Small singing PROUD!!!
I cant find the words to express how i am feeling of late. My son is going to be staying in UK to finish his degree (after validating) and I am honestly dreading saying good bye to him whether it be at Perth or Manchester. I hope, with every thing i have that he decides to make australia his home after Uni BUT seeing him there yesterday made me realise that he is a man now (ok only a young one LOL) and he will make his choices just like i did when i was his age.
My job is pretty much done with him. I will always be there to offer a shoulder or a word of advise (not that i am very qualified on that lol) but on the whole my work is done. I have worked hard and I am now reaping the rewards
. I LOVE IT and I LOVE HIM and everything he is or stands to become in future years. I could not have wished for a better son
.............OK Im off ...........now wheres the tissues
