Default pool pump recommendations

any recommendations guys ???
looking at 40,000 ltr pool
( old ones split its lid and whilst i can get a new lid its probaly best to replace the pump as its looks well worn and too big for the pool as its rated at 70,000ltrs )

Ours just shit itself too - would be interesting in hearing recommendations as well. Also - is it feasible to plumb it all in yourself, when the existing infrastructure is okay?

I replaced mine about 3yrs ago, went with (I think) an Onga Panterra.
It was basically a like for like replacement so was easy enough to swop out myself as pipework re-aligned etc.
No issues with it at all.

My pump shat itself last year but it turned out to be a bearing which I replaced myself.

Ours is an Onga but there's probably an updated model by now. Good make though.
