Default Pieterson / Strauss a couple of Tossers...

KP !! Does he not realise cricket is a team game ?? In 05 he was superb but since then all the media hype has definately gone to his head, the way he threw his wicket away in the 2nd innings is inexcusable. His whole attitude sucks as far as i'm concerned and he's only in it for the attention.

And as for Strauss...what a sorry excuse for a captain. Some of his decisions were beyond belief. Why would you not open with the spinners on day 3 (i think) !!!! and also why don't the commentators say what they really think ? I'm sure Beefy was just as livid as most of the England fans.

I will say though that the last wicket stand was incredible and all credit should go to the lads, buts its a bad state when your tail enders show more grit / pride than your so called superstars (KP)

As a cricket fan i find it a travesty the game was drawn.

Live by the sword, die by the sword. The way KP got out is also the reason why he is one of the most feared batsmen in the world. His extravagance is what has made him an amazing batsman. His average (50+) is still higher than any English batsman we have had in decades. You have to learn to take the highs and the lows with KP. He has saved our bacon too many times to be slated for silly shots like in Cardiff. Just because he is a flash tw@t doesn't mean he is crap or doesn't play for the team. Personally I think he was shafted in the whole captaincy debacle and would have made a very good captain for us, given time.

Beefy is probably the most outspoken of the commentators that there are. He has never been one to hold back. Bottom line is, that everyone played badly, no one performed. Sure Colly saved us, but then you could argue he should have gone on to score a big century in the first innings and England would never have been in that situation in the first place.

Listen to the commentary on the radio (at least when the bloody rugby bloody league isn't on) if you want to hear commentators tell it like it is. The TV commentators are paid to sell advertising, not to talk about cricket.

I have the perfect set-up. Hi-defintion SBS TV on the plasma - Radio 4 commentary instead of the Australian commentary team.

Make sure you have an internet radio connection set up as well. Otherwise the bloody rugby bloody league is given priority on the ABC.

"Only in it for the attention". Some people do talk garbage. Yes he was out twice in ridiculous fashion but he is still the batsman the Aussies fear and he will end up with England's highest average.

It's perfect. The superb BBC commentary team and glorious hi-def courtesy of SBS.

Lucky for England that South Africa didn't want him.

true, however he really became the player he is because of the England system. When he left SA, he was an off spinner, not a specialist batsman.

On the other hand, the South African system might have turned him into a great all rounder. We'll never know.

unlikely, considering the reason he left was because the SA system would not allow him to play at the level he aspired to, plus he hated Graeme Smith, so the chances of him ever being selected would have been very slim
