right girls and boys (yes boys aswell, I wanna know what perfume you like on a lady)

I have today gone out to price up my favourite perfume Chanel No 5 and low and behold I couldn't find it anywhere in the shopping centre. My first question is does anyone know where I can get it in the Rockingham-Mandurah area and secondly what would you suggest I buy for a change. I'm not that clued up with perfume smells but I definately do not like Anais Anais type fragrances. By the way any strength of Chanel No 5 will do.
Thanks for reading

I did try that NB but after smelling a few they all smelt so strong and I find it difficult then to try and distinguish between them. I think I'll have to smell a couple at a time b4 I make my mind up. (alternatively I'll ask women who walk past me what they're wearing if I like it:thumbsup:)

Oh that's one is gorgeous, one of my all time favourites:).

I got Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle least year and it's fab.

There's a lovely Clarins perfume too called Sunshine which is a great everyday smell.

Re: perfume

I used to wear Coco but after I had the kids I couldn't wear any perfume - I just felt violently sick all the time. A few years ago I found Elizabeth Arden Green Tea and I love it to death. It's the only one I can wear without getting a headache and I get so many lovely comments about my smell

The only problem with asking people what they are wearing is that it will probably smell completely different on you - different body etc. My sister borrowed mine one evening and it wasn't good on her :D

Kylie Minogue purfume is nice too.

I don't like strong smells like Poison or Anais Anais either. Remember Lou Lou??? errrr it was horrid!

I buy my perfume on ebay these days - usually about half the store price. I pretty much exclusively use Joy by Jean Patou which costs an arm and a leg in DJs. I have always had the real stuff from ebay and very good value.

My mum has been wearing that since the 1960s. It used to be the most expensive perfume on the market.

I think it probably still is judging by the burning sensation in my credit card when I buy it!!!

I imagine any of those "celebrity" perfumes to be really yuk. They probably would be to my nose. The idea of owning a perfume by Kylie makes me want to heave and I've not smelt it

My husband told me that one day last week he asked a stranger in a shop what perfume she was wearing because she smelled so nice. He then proceeded to forget the name of it!
I used to wear #5 as well, but since having kids don't like the smell of it on me anymore. I also used to love Oscar de la Renta but now find it too sweet.

My all-time favourite is Guerlain's Mitsouko, tho I like most of guerlain's products.
And how's this for a demonstration of rising costs? I first bought Mitsouko in Dublin in 1952 and it cost me seven shillings and sixpence. The same size bottle in DJ's or Myers is now $175.00. I rely on duty free-shopping friends to buy it now - and it's still over $100.

Re: perfume

I have Angel and Angel Alien, very strong and quite sweet, also wear Kenzo Jungle which smells of cinnamon, people always comment on it, not sure if in a good way or not though:unsure:

This may sound silly, but why don't you take a pen with you and when you've sprayed one on your arm write it's name over the smell, so later when it's worn in you still know which one it was.
Just remember to wear long sleeves:D

Funnily enough today this woman wafted passed me and her perfume smelled lovely, so I asked her what it was. She said Samsara by Guerlain.
Never been a fan of Guerlain.... am now though:)

Not many responses from the boys so here goes:

Cabotine - de Gres
No 19 - Chanel
Amarige - Givenchy
Tendre - Dior

Also, a friend  wears Light Blue (D&G) which is awesome, but it doesn't work on everybody.

Streaks - strolling through Myer Karrinyup on the weekend saw they had No5 on sale....

My favourites are:

Oscar De La Renta (Signature)
Kenzo - can't remember the name but it is the one with the single red poppy on the box (Flower?)
Joy - the most expensive perfume in the world

and for everyday (workwise) I love Clarins Dynamisante

The Kylie perfume smells very similar to the Britney perfume!
