Yep, just what I thought, behaviour genetics at it's best, or worst, depending on how you look at it.

Overall I find it hard to be sympathetic to 'professional' users.
It's one thing to have a dabble as a student (and some people draw the line at the harder stuff) etc but when you have kids etc.

True but I suppose she was only human just like the rest of us, therefore entitled to have her demons and obligatory mental health issues as a result, and boy she obviously had plenty of demons.

All in all, I think Paula Yates has a bloody lot to answer for.

I agree. It's easy for those who are free of mental health issues to condemn those who have them.

I also think people forget how easy it is for kids to become addicted to certain drugs, sometimes after one or two uses.

Over the last 13+ years of having someone in high school you would often see a kid from the most normal of families go off the rails for some reason nobody could fathom.

There goes I but for the grace of god, I think is the the saying...

One way I would put it:
I would not condemn but I don't have a sympathy measured in bucket loads. I am fairly liberal on mental illness : but a person has to ultimately own themselves.
