Default Paul Weller/Citizenship Test

Well you know what it is like when nothing goes right for you. We had tickets to see Paul Weler las night. We book a hotel in Brisbane because we have our citizenship test this morning. Just before we set off we find out that Saturdays concert was cancelled but Sundays was going ahead. But no we get to Brissie and the concert is cancelled. So off on the drink we go (what else should we do).

Go to have citizenship test this morning and we are not booked in. When I booked it they had got it mixed up and had us in for a interview. Nice man at immigration let us do the test though and we both passed thank goodness.

Staying out of Brisbane from now on.

Got to admit I was not that gutted that Weller was cancelled, hubby was devastated and then we spent a fortune in Brisbane drinking (shame). Ended up at the casino where there was a band playing that were pretty decent. We ended up having a good night and at least we passed the test this morning.

Was really pleased driving back to the Gold coast it really does feel like home !!!

Application hasn't gone in yet we wanted to get the test out of the way. Don't know where the ceromony will be. While we were at immigration they were asking people if they would like to do it on Australia day 2009 now I would be tempted to do that. Can't think of a more fitting occassion and that would be exactly 2 years to the day.

Funny you should say that. The guy at immigration told me that if I had entered after the 1st July (under the new rules) then I could have applied for citizenship straight away as I had lived here previously and my time here previous would be taken into account. So you need to look into it.
