You can get 40kg with singapore airlines if you're validating your visa, have permanent residency visa and have a one way ticket!

We got confirmation of this from them via e-mail today

Thanks for that. We've got a skilled migration visa and it will definitely be a one way ticket! How do I tell them this when I am booking the ticket?

well I just mentioned it to them and they just said I have to show my visa at check in but as long as I'm sure I have a PR visa then I'll be upgraded to 40kg. I was concerned so I rang today and got a confirmation e-mail sent.

If you're flying with singapore airlines, maybe e-mail them and ask the Q?

Thanks for that, that's brilliant news. Just been looking at their website and their fares one way are really good, the best I've come across £1000 for both of us in March. Will email them anyway just to check.
Cheers x
