Oysters are lovely, but I'm not sure they'd quite work in an omelette

Not a great fan of Oysters myself.

I may consider eating them in an omlette if it was nice and hot though, with nice fluffy egg.

I will say yes.

I have been continuing my oyster eating over the past year. I quite like them now, but only if they're straight out of the ocean. DJ's oyster bar is good. And I had them at Shoalhaven somewhere I think and they were fab.
But eggs? Slippery, slimy eggs, with slippery, slimy oysters?

I just can't see it really.

They have this traditional dish in Singapore called Or Luak (basically an oyster omelette). I don't eat shellfish but my Dad spent many a happy hour foraging oysters to make it.

How about adding them to a sauce, encasing them in pastry and creating an oyster pie?

It's a very yummy Chinese dish, or more precisely Teochew/Chiuchow cuisine. Normally very small oysters are used. It's great with some chopped green onions mixed in. I love it if the oysters are fresh, clean, and free of sand.

Eww no. I don't eat oysters. Aren't they meant to be an aphrodisiac? Oyster Omlette doesn't sound very sexy though!

I don't think I could eat an omelette made with any type of crustacean It just sounds so wrong. I can only eat a couple of cooked oysters at any one time, even thinking about tipping freshly shucked ones down my throat makes me gag

As my doctor will not let me eat oysters or eggs I would have to say that I would love an oyster omlette.

Or anything that doesn't involve raw vegies or salad in fact....
