Hi all,
The shippers have left with our worldly goods (White & Co, guys were really nice and very professional). We are now living in one room, surrounded by stuff we are taking on the plane with us. Big New Years Eve/Leaving party tomorrow night with friends, drop the dog off at Golden Arrow on Friday and then off to Heathrow on Saturday....So exciting
Feels very real now...although hard to believe this time next week we will be living in Sydney, and I will be preparing for my first day at the new job
Having spent the last few weeks closing down things in the UK, it does seem a little daunting knowing we have to do it all in reverse in Sydney.
Best of luck to anyone else leaving shortly.
James and Roxanna
P.S. Any tips on dealing with jet lag?????

Hi James, and Roxanna,
Congrats on getting to this point and good luck for the flight etc next week

Just wanted to say about jet lag... I flew out for only about 7 days for my interview in May. From arriving I had about 3 days until my interview, which was a full-day assessment centre 8.30am to 4.00pm ish!! So I had to be awake the whole day.
When I got to my hotel it was 8.00am. I had a coffee and then went out walking, all day, keeping myself awake. It was the only way people had told me I would be able to get my body in tune with the time difference so quickly. It definitely worked, though that day lasted forever and I was so glad to crawl into bed at 9.30pm!! I had been travelling for 2 full days so it was hard work, but worth it to wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed on the day of my interview.
Don't know if anyone else has found other tips that work too. But that's what worked for me - oh and Starbucks
