Ouch
Just looking at flights to London from Perth with SIA in mid-Feb and it's shot up from $1900 a couple of weeks ago to just under $2200. 
(same from London to Perth with SIA is 800 quid - go figure).
Looks like I'll be going with Emirates at $1750ish.

Just checked again and Cathay upto $2200 (was $1800 last week) and Singapore down to $1900!

If you book with Singapore before 5th January via their website, even if they lower their price they will give you the difference back. We did this some time ago for June 2010, $1900 per adult when all others were up at $2400. We are quite happy with our price, i think it gets to a stage when you just have to book if you want specific dates as we did.
