I just had to kill an almost fully grown Huntsman that sneaked in at my back this evening when I came back in the house. (Hubby is out watching The Brisbane Roar). I knew this would eventually happen and when he was out!!!

(I still have the heebie jeebies).

I sprayed half a tin of Mortein on the thing and it was still going for it (and trying to go for me at the same time), Suffice to say it did eventually slow down (whilst starting to go a tad mad) and then I dropped the phone book on it.

Said phone book is still in the middle of the kitchen floor over dead critter.

I dont advocate killing them but Mortein is pretty useless unless you spray copious quantities as spiders breath in a very different way to insects so the spray doesnt affect them in quite the same way. If you MUST kill them then use a heavy object. The geckos in our house used to deal with most of the numerous Huntsman.
